Fan Silencer / Duct Silencer

Our Fan Silencers are designed to reduce noise generated by extraction fans, ventilation systems and industrial air movement. Ideal for spray booth extraction systems, workshops and industrial ventilation, these silencers help create a quieter working environment while allowing efficient airflow through the system.

Constructed from galvanised steel, the silencer is manufactured in a similar format to a section of ductwork. The internal section incorporates a perforated metal lining, with an efficient acoustic foam layer positioned between the inner lining and outer casing. This acoustic construction absorbs and reduces airborne noise produced by extraction fans and moving air.

Spray Booth & Extraction Fan Silencer

Fan silencers can be installed at different points within an extraction system depending on where noise reduction is required. Installing the silencer between the spray booth and extraction fan can help reduce noise transmitted back into the workshop. Alternatively, positioning the silencer between the extraction fan and exhaust ductwork can help reduce noise released towards the external environment.

The silencer can also be used on air intake systems where fan and airflow noise needs to be controlled.

1D Fan Silencer

Our standard 1D fan silencer has an overall length approximately equal to its diameter and can provide approximately 8–15 dBA noise reduction, depending on the system and installation conditions.
