Mobile Catalytic Infrared Heating System

The Mobile Catalytic Infrared Heating System is a professional, portable heating and drying solution designed for applications where fast, efficient and targeted heat is required. Using advanced catalytic infrared technology, the system produces radiant heat similar to the warmth of the sun, allowing surfaces and materials to be heated directly without the heat being significantly affected by air movement.

With a maximum heat output of 14.7 kW, the Pro-Cat system is well suited to paint drying areas, finishing facilities, workshops and other applications where controlled heat is required. Its portable design allows it to be moved between different areas as required, providing a flexible alternative to permanently installed heating equipment.

The catalytic infrared panels operate without an exposed flame, providing a simple and effective heating method while offering high specific power. The technology combines catalytic and infrared heating, delivering fast heat-up and efficient energy transfer directly to the target area.

The system is particularly suited to ATEX-zone applications, including drying and spraying areas, subject to the appropriate site assessment and approval. Once the catalytic emitter has reached operating temperature, the electrical supply can be disconnected and the heater moved into the required area, where it can continue operating without electrical power.

Each Pro-Cat unit is supplied complete with a fail-safe push-button gas valve, propane hose, fittings and propane gas regulator, providing a ready-to-use heating package.

The result is a highly flexible heating system that can be positioned exactly where heat is required, making it an effective solution for paint drying, finishing and industrial heating applications.

Instructions for Use

• Plug the electrical lead into a 13-amp electrical supply. This must be done outside the ATEX zone.
• Allow approximately 10 minutes for the initial heating period.
• Turn on the gas supply.
• Press and hold the button on the safety valve for approximately 30 seconds.
• If the heater is ready for use, the catalyst will heat up.
• Once the catalyst has reached operating temperature, disconnect the electrical supply.
• The heater can then be moved into the ATEX drying or spraying area.
• The unit will continue to operate without electrical power until it is switched off.
• If the heater is not ready after the initial period, wait a few more minutes and repeat the process.
• If the heater or gas supply fails for any reason, or the emitter falls below its required re-action temperature, the safety valve will automatically close and isolate the gas supply.
